Ok, so I was thinking last night, how far I've come, how scared I was. How grateful i am to have found this forum and the people on it. i also was reflecting on how most of those who were here before me had dropped way back in posting as they hurt less and moved more. They got back to life (the plan). And yes, how I was doing that too. So, the point of my little paragraph primarily is to say, as I know many of them don't post but still read, THANK YOU. Before they all evaporate in to the air of the real world they live in...thank you. I don't know if years from now we all will really cross paths or not, but you all were certainly put in my path as a gift of God to help me through one of the biggest events of my life and for that I am grateful. I won't list names because I fear forgeting some one, (remember, when they do our knees we're sure they must take part of our brain too). The one name I'll mention in Miss Josephine. Your love exudes and Christ's love show. My life is moving along and so I find myself posting less as well. Anyway, newbies, They heal, they really do and you will be so grateful to be on the other side.

Jennifer -
I am one of those newbies and I started reading all the posts from the beginning before I jumped in to post and I could tell you all had a real special bond in the beginning (of the posts) and I was so happy to see some of the "originals" were still posting when I started posting.

There's so much wisdom here and I have friends that will be going thru this soon and I will definitely steer them to this website. It is so amazing in this day and age that we can have "friends" from all over the world to help us get thru this very short time in our lives.

Who knew what we were really getting ourselves into? Obviously, the best choice we've all made in our lives (but we may not think so in these beginning days...)

I second Jennifer's thank you! We've been as much help to each other as the "PT, icing, elevating..." all part of the recovery!

I agree, Jen, you stated it very well, so I won't try to repeat or improve on it. A big thanks to everyone who helped me through my journey which began in December 2007. I'm doing well and do check in now and then even if I don't post. Several of us made a pact to log in on New Year's Eve at midnight East Coast time to see how we are all doing. Hope some of the newbies will join us! God bless!

Jenn, Great post. I think we all agree with everything you said. This site and the people contributing to it has helped me so much. I don't know anyone personally that has had knee replacement though I've run into plenty who's older relatives have been through it. It has especially made me feel better knowing that there are others considered young, such as myself in my 40s going through the same thing. I'm not alone. Good luck to everyone out there about to go through knee/hip replacements and congratulations to all that have made it past this milestone. Karen

As Someone Who Is Once Again Rejoining Their Life I Would Like To Add My Thanks To Everyone Here. I Would Like To Especially Thank Those Who Were There For Me When My Son, Tony, Was Murdered Right Before I Had My Btkr. I Will Never Forget The People Who Have Been A Part Of My Healing Here And I Will Always Believe God Guided Me To This Forum.thanks Again To All Of You. Rowdy

What a wonderful post, and I could not agree more. You guys are what made me take this final step to a new life. Dr. visits are so quick, and the information to get from them is so minimal, but this site has given me not only a wealth of information, but also the encouragement to move forward. Rowdy, Jen, Karen, (et al), you are all pillars of strength. I've still got a long way to go, but I sure do know where to go when I'm emotionally and physically drained.

Oh, Jennifer! How sweet of you. That truly brought tears to my eyes.
I am so pleased to see all my 'chicks' get better and move on. It totally validates the point of this forum. God bless you all.

a big AMEN to all of the above ! Who knows more about this recovery than someone going through it? It has truely been
the most pivitol part of my recovery. Thank you Jo and everyone else.

I have definately had many ups and downs throughout this journey, but one thing has remained constant. The constant support that I get from this group of people has been truely unbelievable. I am not one to share my feelings and let other's see the true "me", but something about this group really makes me feel comfortable. So for that I too would like to extend a huge THANK YOU!!! I will, most certainly, keep posting, as the response that I have gotten has been overwhelming, and needless to say, so appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Hess
