Glad you are home bunny! I also had very good nurses in hospital and rehab. Just a couple of problems with CPN's but otherwise things went fairly well. I think what set apart RN's from the rest of the folks was their expertise on both pain control and the drugs themselves.

Take care,

Helen

So pleased you are home and out of the clutches of those rehab people. :D

So glad to see that you are home! What an ordeal at the rehab. Now you can really get recovering....it's so much better at home!

Gotta tell you, Terri - if they'd tried on me a fraction of what they put on you, I'd have discharged myself there and then! I actually have done in the past for much lesser things! But I think you're a hero putting up with it. Glad you're now home and okay though.

Hi Dumplins, I am so glad you are back home where you can call the shots. You will feel so much better. You had an amazing journey, didn't you? I can remember being all hopped up on pain meds, sitting in my soft and comfy bed, smiling at my sweet husband, I had never been so happy to be home!

Recovery will be wonderful from here on out. You have been a real trooper.

Have a great day, Kimberly

Well, there truly is no place like home. Just sleeping in my own bed, with hubby next to me is such a comfort to me. And the best was having a shower without a stranger standing there watching me!
The only thing I miss is having 3 meals a day delivered to me. They even gave Chris guest tray's for lunch and dinner when he was with me, so we could eat together. Oh the palce was actually really nice, I had a private room. There was a small cafe that gave you and your guests free coffee and fresh baked goodies from about 8am-2pm. Then everyday at 2:30pm there was a special treat, ice cream sundaes, pizza, wine & cheese etc. I was busy all day long .

What???? Sounds great!!! When are you going BACK????? LOL!!!(:)0)

If I wasn't in so much darn pain, I guess that I would have loved it, LOL.

NOW You tell is!!! You are too much, Terri!!! (:)0)

Wine and cheese???!!! Check me in! I could even deal with the crazy doc for that!

Oh yeah, there was a halloween party too. All of the staff dressed up and there was a costume parade & competetion.

And your costume was......Franken-knee, no doubt!

Don't you remember, I was dressed as a very calm, compliant, rehab patient,(so as to throw off the shrink).

Awww Bunny Dumplin I just love it.
Such a good costume. I can just see you wheeling
around throwing him off the scent!!! LOL

I have for a number of years used decorated headbands like you see around various holidays to relieve some of the stress at work...I have everything from antlers to lighted bats.

While I was in rehab, I decided it was time to brighten the world a little. So starting in early AM I donned reindeer antlers (it was april). Made everyone smile.

Of course, it was the only day that the rehab 'shrink' stuck his head into the PT/OT room.....it even made him laugh too. :rotfl:

So glad you are home.

We could soooo write a book of our re+hab experieces!!! (:)0)

Oh yeah....it was hubby that was the wild, psychotic PT....

You are so funny!!!

Awe shucks, you ladies are too sweet. I'm so happy to have "met" you all!

Hope you have a restful night! Good night for now! Got a dental appt in the morning! Can't wait!!!! (Yeah, right!!!). (:)0)
