In our backyard we have a pond. Yesterday I was doing some cleanup and was able to climb up on the right side (toward the house) from the bottom level to the middle level using my operated leg. I came down using my bad leg first (the unoperated one). I haven't been able to do that without a step stool and a lot of fear for three or four years. I was so excited I could hardly stand it!

Linda! Great going! We have a big koi pond in our backyard as well! I cankt wait to get my planting started al around it in the next couple of weeks.....terrific therapy! :)

Beautiful spot, Linda! I bet you really enjoy that pond in the summer time. Congratulations on another milestone accomplished. Thanks for posting about it.

Linda that is great! And I kniow just what you mean about how excited you were! Some days I just marvel at being able to do the simplest things I haven't been able to do in a couple of years. Just being able to walk up a hill normally for instance. As Jamie said in another thread --it's the discovery phase of your recovery -- re-discovering things you used to do...and now can do again with a "normal'" knee. Congratulations!

I feel excited just reading about how excited you were! Well done!
