Revision TKR Story of My Knees by RestAssured: Pt 3

Well I have some great news!
The polyp they removed was precancerous in the colon so my PA was right in insisting that I have a colonoscopy!

Dr. Z put me on a heart med that is controlling the rhythm so well that I can now go up three flights of stairs without huffing and puffing! I will be on it for 5 months gradually decreasing the dose until the heart is ready!

PT is going very well and I am working on balance and strength in the legs.

In speech therapy, she said she finally gave me a hard enough logic puzzle. She is trying to find out why I am getting lost in a town I grew up in, why words get trapped in my brain but won't come to my mouth and she found it Wednesday. It seems that my mind is going into overdrive if it is challenged and then I try to figure everything out but become extremely frustrated if I make a mistake. We are working on that so I will be able to make sense of things again.

I lost 8 pounds this week! I am so excited because I had gained some back! Here is "excited Sonja!":happydance:

So she needs to put the brakes on Sonja? A difficult job. :heehee:

Good news on the heart meds. I'm impressed by the 3 flights of stairs without huffing and puffing...

Yes, can you imagine trying to put the "brakes" on! [emoji41]

I think therefore I am! LOL [emoji2]

Well, either the bone spur has finally managed to push through to the nerves on my left foot or I can add a broken bone to the left foot. I will find out tomorrow.

:console2:
You've had a bad patch, Sonja. I hope your foot isn't broken. Do let us know.

Well, my foot is better! I think it is the ornery bone spur trying to stop me from PT. I will be there; I was on my feet too much yesterday, as I was the photographer most of the time!:loveshwr:

Oh and my knees? Didn't notice them for the three hours!:happydance:

You look terrific Sonja, and good news on the foot, and knees! Get some rest and pace yourself.....if you can! Dawn

@Dhare63

Well, I am actually starting back to a "simple" form of yoga! :heehee: Abby called and said, see if your PT will approve 15 Days of Namaste. So tomorrow night, I head back home for the kickoff party, and then I have to put each of my poses on Instagram for the next 15 days! LOL THAT should be interesting!:rotfl:

Well....... Last night I decided to find my bed without turning on the light. It is part of rhe ceiling fan; I had the fan on and the light turned out. Well what I YHOGHT was the bed was nothing, and so crashing down on my right knee happened! Ouch!

Happy late birthday left knew! You get very little attention, yet you hang in there "like a trooper!:roseshwr:

I hope you're OK after your fall, Sonja. :console2:
Crash landing on one knee is not one of the recommended yoga poses. :snork:

Methinks you still need that bubble wrap suit.

Sonja,
Crash landings are not recommended, as I recall you already have a bubble wrap suit.
Glad you are OK, turn on the light next time. Or how about a night light in your room that turns on in response to motion.

A night light!

Great idea! (But then I would not have as many "fun" tales to tell!:rotfl:

@Celle

You would be surprised at some of the yoga poses we do. Yep, if I tried to bend my leg over my back and hold it with the opposite hand, the whole WORLD would know!:rotfl:

We'll it has been awhile since I updated so I thought I would "pop in"!

After my ablation

I had an MS attack that left me without legs for 2 months. It was like relearning to walk!:groan:

Then the heart jumped back into the picture and I ended up with a fourth Cardioversion. My heart has stayed in Sinus Rhythm since.:happydance:

Then, sepsis, double pneumonia, and hypoxia took over. The doctors didn't think I would live!:scare:

They don't know me very well!

I am back to exercising and swimming. We are doing moderation so I am feeling great! We will get a little tougher as my stamina increases!

My knees did well during all the infection. God was watching over me!

Glad to hear from you.you are so awesome

I'm doing better, pain and weak but you were right.
You were such a help to me. I'm walking , and have to take antibiotic the rest of my life.
Thank you. God bless you. I remember .
Steve
