Hi TKR Peeps!
I was discharged from my in-home physical therapist today because "I am doing so well and can benefit better from equipment, weights, pool, etc."...so I have my evaluation appt. tomorrow afternoon with my out-patient therapist. My in-home physical therapist measured the circumference of my knee for swelling today and compared with her measurement on 08/17 (one week ago), the swelling was reduced 4 inches in one week! How awesome is that? I ice often and elevate often...my ROM today was 122 and my flexion was 4. For some reason, I'm flexible early on in recovery, but I still have early recovery stiffness and internal swelling...but I am ready to begin my out-patient rehab to begin my new life with my 2 new knees. I am so, so relieved that both surgeries are behind me and life will be better sometime soon down the road...Just wanted to share.
