Staples?

What is the normal time when you have your staples removed?

10-12 days post op. might have been 14 days...I know I was happy to get those suckers out.

I think I got lucky. I didn't have staples, just that super glue stuff! Seems to have worked nicely!

Recommendation:
Take your pain meds before that take them out and ice before and after if possible. Once the staples came out my knee was swollen and the ice felt so nice. I was so relieved that they were out and felt better. No more staple tugging or worry that a sheet would get hooked up on my knee. Usually, the end of two weeks post surg.

I was 16 or 17 days - I think - I had made the apt for exactly 14 days post op and the Doc had me make for 14 days after discharge instead. I think thats why the inscision has healed up so nicely - no problems with that!
Hang in there - it was painless!

Had mine out 10 days post op. Didn't hurt coming out at all, have a great scar, healed really well and quickly too. Good luck with yours.
