Hi guys, a quick update.

Made it around France and back to Australia no problems.
I've had plenty of xrays and nuclear scans etc on my hip now that I am back is Aus. My specialist suspected that my acetabular cup had come loose, which would have meant revisions surgery (not happy Jan). However, the tests have now shown that I have fractured my hip behind the acetabular cup right through the bone behind it. Hence all of the extreme pain. I have further tests to go next week including CT scan etc to confirm but if this is the case it looks like it can heal itself in situ without needing any surgery...will just be very painfull for a couple of months. This is a much better outcome.

I probably forgot to mention why I was overseas in the first place. I was competing at the World Transplant Games in Sweden in the swimming (due to my heart transplant nearly 6 yrs ago now). You will be pleased to know that my hip held up well posting 5 PB's and winning 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals at the games. Here are a couple of photographs of me at the games if you are interested:

I got back to Australia but have now hopped on a plane and i'm in Vancouver Canada for work. So no let up on the travel unfortunately.

Fingers crossed my scans next week confirm a fracture and not a loose cup.
