Hello all, this is my first post in this forum.

I had a total reverse shoulder replacement in my right shoulder on July 24th. Not knowing what to expect as far as recovery I feel that I am doing pretty well. My only issue is I wake up in the morning and my fingers in my right had are stiff to the point they hurt to move. Once I get awake and begin moving them the stiffness and pain is gone, this only takes about 1-2 minutes.

Can this be related to having my shoulder replaced or am I experiencing other aging issues?

@burchis Welcome to BoneSmart and the other side of surgery. I would imagine the early morning stiffness is related to your surgery. We hear from members on both the knee and hip side complain about the same stiffness. Just move slowly at first to let things ease.

I'm sure our members will be along soon to give you their input.

Yes, I agree. Any shoulder issues can spread out down the arm and into the hand.
