It's been over two months since my last visit and six months since my TKR.
About four weeks ago I was walking to work, and it occurred to me that I wasn't in pain. For the first time in 22 yrs I was totally pain free.. and completely medication free!
Granted, I don't have the range of motion I wish I could have...(I bottomed out at 115 Degrees) and sometimes I lose my balance when I'm getting dressed, but I have NO PAIN!!!! I think I had unrealistic expectations.
How have all my old buddies been? Patty-poo, Doug, Skeet & the famous Josephine who assisted me more than she will ever know.
I'd love to know how everyone is progressing.
Nice to be back,
Faith

Well, howdie doodie there!
[Bonesmart.org] six months since TKR from Faith

What a great return report! Wonderful to hear from you and to know all is so good. And in only six months! Awesome.

Faith,
It's great to hear from you and to see that you are doing so well. Aren't you from the Baltimore area? I seem to remember earlier posts of someone marching in the Ravens band. My daughter-in-law's sister also marches in that band.

I had my BTKR done 5 weeks ago at Baltimore-Washington Med. Center in Glen Burnie. Things are progressing okay, but of course I wish it would go faster.

It's great to hear you are walking pain-free. I'm just waiting for that day!

Best of luck,
Sharon

Great to hear how well you are doing Faith. I have a friend in the UK. She had one knee done some years ago and it took over a year to get really better, now she can bend it properly right under her chair etc. It took her 5 years to decide to get the other one done, but the second one was much quicker getting back to normal.

I had an MUA done a couple of weeks ago. It gave me an extra 4 degrees ROM that first week. Today I got 100 degrees, thats a total of 7 degrees, with my PT pushing it hard. I can finally see light at the end of my tunnel. All the best Faith...Sue

Hey Faith, I'm doing great. My son is keeping me totally going all the time. We're about to head out the door to the springs again. At least I can take a book and read. I think there's a girl he knows that's going to be there.
I for one am ready for school to start so I can have a quiet house and my own schedule back.
