Hi,
Today I am six months post op THR (Right). I have resumed most activities; I am better walking on the treadmill and riding my bike than going for a good long walk. I still use my cane from time to time. I mostly carry it; its like taking a pacifier from a baby. My OS did say the hip is still weak due to the fact I waited seven years to have the surgery. I was being treated for lower back pain only to find out later it was my hip. The x-ray only showed mild arthritis; once the femur bone was remove it revealed severe gross OA. If any of you are having this issue; be sure to get it checked out. The LLD I had is correcting itself. I am a happy camper. If the left hip need to be replaced I will do it in a heat beat it is so much better being pain free. I pray all who are waiting to have surgery and all who just had surgery God speed on your journey.

I just had a RTKR revision a month ago. My hip is nasty, just as it was following my original TKR. The last hip x-rays I had showed only mild arthritis, but I'm a little dubious. It really makes working my knee difficult. I've had painful hips for as long as I can remember, but this one took a turn for the worse after my knee replacement. I had a cortisone injection in that hip 1 1/2 years ago and it made an incredible difference so I think I'm going to ask for an injection when I go for my 6-week checkup.
Nancy.
