I've been jumping quickly through all the hoops as I was on a cancellation list for December and a surgery slot became available for December 17th. Trying to avail myself of as much information as possible so looking forward to reading more helpful posts on this forum.
I am the sole proprietor of a small business so am quite concerned about getting back to work. I chose this time of year as it is my slower season. I feel fairly ready to go though found myself getting cold feet a few times in the past week. But still, I am pushing on with my huge pre-surgery To Do list!!

Congratulations on your date! If you can take the time, we suggest around 12 weeks recovery before returning to work.

Here are some articles to help you prepare for your surgery:
If you are at the stage where you have joint pain but don't know for sure if you are ready to have surgery, these links may help:

If you are at the stage where you are planning to have surgery but are looking for information so you can be better prepared for what is to come, take a look at these links:

Regardless of where you are in the process, the website and app My Knee Guide can help you stay organized and informed. The free service keeps all the information pertaining to your surgery and recovery in one place on your smartphone. It is intended to be a personal support tool for the entire process.

Left knee. Major injuries to it in 2003 and 2013. 2015 arthroscopic surgery to remove loose bodies and meniscus.
An unloading brace last 2 years has helped a lot.
But... it’s time now.

I was very competitive up to the National Level in dog agility but despite training my dog to work at great distance can no longer run agility.
I can no longer hike with my dogs or bike many miles.
It’s definitely time.

Best wishes on your knee replacement. I did agility with my dogs many years ago! Now I can’t even walk them a block...... my bilateral replacement is Mar 16

We have a member, @Ceegee who does the dog agility, here’s her thread. The link starts on page 3 of her thread, she shows avideo of her and her dog. Scroll to see it.
