is there a way to measure the rom at home, without one of
the gadgets the pt uses, i know i have increased my mobility but have no way of knowiung for sure until i go the os.

You need a gadget called a goniometer.

You can get them off Ebay for a nominal price - around $8-10.

Alternatively, if you lay your hands on a school protractor, you could fix two pieces of wood together with a nut and screw, measure your ROM and then get the number from the protractor. Cost zilch!
