Robot knee
Waiting for a second knee replacement.
My first knee replacement is fantastic and it was only a matter of time before my left knee needed replacing. I’m on the list for a CT scan and then a new knee that will be done by a robot. I would like to hear about how this operation went for them. How did the recovery go etc.

Hi @Cocopug. and welcome back to BoneSmart! Do you have a surgery date yet?

I'm sure some members who've had robotic surgery will stop by to comment.
In the meantime, how about giving us an update on your right knee? You say above that it is "fantastic" now, but looking back at your last post in 2022, you were struggling. Here's what you wrote in February 2022, when you were four months post-op:

"have been doing absolutely everything possible for months. During PT and at home. it is a total nightmare and now MUA is the only option. I have scar tissue from 5 previous surgeries. I couldn’t have done more than I have. My frustration is great!!!"

It's so helpful to others here when they can read a story about someone who felt they would ever recover, but who are now really happy with the outcome! Feel free to go back and post on your original thread, or share you story here.

I had the MUA and was in a cast from my hip to my ankle for a few days, and that was hideous. I then had a full leg brace made and wore that day and night for 4 weeks. My leg was lovely and straight and I felt a lot better. I have no pain at all in the right knee and it’s been great. Unfortunately it was just a matter of time until my left knee which had more damage than my right knee to begin with started to be extremely painful. I have had my pre op checks and am hoping to be called soon.
My surgeon has said that he will have a brace made for straight after the TKR so we don’t need hopefully to do another MUA. I will wear this at night. I am still working fulltime and it’s very hard with the amount of pain I’m in.
