i had my Surgery on Thursday 3rd, and it has bene 6 easy since then, pretty much hell. i Was recovered in a crowded Rooom . They have been very singy with the pain drugs. And i had a someone Who shouted in her slepp 24 in with me. She also shhouted all day into her phone. Result no sleep. For 6 days , I ma and ti red of having doctors fob con me off. i have è no wifi. And will remain nere till the 14 in rehab and hope to survive the pain hell. No idea how I will manage when. I get sent home. These doctors are giving 2 paracetamol tablets for pain thats all. Se you when I get home.

I am so sorry to hear of your difficulties with pain meds especially. Is it possible that you have a regular doctor who sees you who might proscribe the proper pain meds? for instance,

I had oxycodone 5/325 for the first few weeks. I could take one or two tablets. It made a huge difference for me. I am sure I would not have liked to have a tylenol for pain after knee surgery---what a brute your doctor is!!

I will give you the reading list we give to folks post op in the hope that some of the articles might help you. Kelly

First are the mantras ....
- rest, elevate, ice and take your pain meds by the clock
- if it hurts, don't do it and don't allow anyone - especially a physiotherapist - to do it to you
- if your leg swells more or gets stiffer in the 24 hours after doing it, don't do it again
- if you won't die if it's not done, don't do it

- never stand when you can sit, never sit when you can lie down, never stay awake when you can go to sleep!

That is awful... I had mine Sept. 10, TRKR. It's so great to have this forum . Hope your getting better. It is such a slow prosess.

My specialist had told them to give me ibuprohen they ignore him the younger docs and ho on On about how dangeous.Anti inflamatories are. It si. italian docs have a major hangup about pain Meds The anestetic came down to see me and told them that them only med that can touch the pain is morphine. Because cause they Wanted to remove the femoral block he put in for me . Started a Huge discussione that I Was caught in the Middle of felt so vulnerabile. butt dottor told me to stop compilai ing. .. My specialist is lovely but his underlings arent. I survived 5 nights with out sleep. im already i at 90 degrees bend and walking on crutches i Wont let the people get me. Oh and they are singy with ice Too !

Italian doctors are full of sh i t there i said it. The nursing si horrific Too, and the physios are a joke!!!!! My surgeon is great and ill take pain meds when i get home. I Borrowed a iPad from a friend to post this

so sorry you aren't getting pain help. It is much easier to heal when there isn't bad pain to deal with.

Talking of Physios mine Wanted to attach leg weights to my ankle so i can do leg lifts. It hurts I said no. Shes going to report me.
