WOW... I went to my pain management doctor today and he was adamant that i should NOT have the replacement. When he looked at my MRI results and my shoulder with ultrasound, he saw inflammation but there is very little arthritis. He told me to tell my surgeon i want to have an arthoscopic clean out with biceps tenodesis instead! While i am glad i saw him, i have put in a call for the OS to see if he is willing to change the path of this repair! Getting a second surgical opinion is a good idea but may not be possible if the appointments are too far out for booking them. Has this ever happened to anyone before? I have seen the DR since 2006 and he has managed many of my injuries. His biggest specialty in regenerative medicine but he also does other things. Does anyone have feedback or any thoughts? I am dumbfounded and now even more stressed!
