I am finally posting a photo from Father's Day weekend when we went on the Ropes, Adventure, Zip-line Course at the local ski mountain. I had BTKR exactly 1 year prior and here I am flying on a zip line through the trees over a water fall. Enjoying life again!

WooHoo... I love it .That is so amazing...Looks like so much fun...That is beautiful where you are...You so rock.!!! Thats pretty far up....lol... That truely is an amazing picture...You are surely moving on as you should. You have been such a help to me....Thanks for that...I hope in a year that will be me. !!!!So happy for ya!!!

Well done that looks great. But my first thought was how are you going to land. I still freak out at jumping into the pool and trying to land on one leg. Did you land on both feet. Wendy

Crystal--that looks like fun. Whitefish Mt Resort just got one this summer---being a zip line job was supposed to be my summer job--then the knee!!!! Do you think that there is a problem using the zip line right now--it looks knee friendly from here!!! Kelly

Wendy,
When you go zip lining there are 2 guides with each group. One with the group and one ahead. The guide ahead is there for safety, as is the one with the group. The 2 ropes over my shoulder connect me to the zip line cable itself. I am landing on my feet on a platform and the guide is there to un-clip me and re-clip me into another safety cable. We are up in the trees on platforms. We did have to hike some, do a log walk, do a tight rope cable walk, swing from one platform connected to a cable and catch a cargo net with 2 hands. This was the toughest and I missed my catch as did our granddaughter. The toughest challenge mentally was jumping off the platform and trusting the mechanism at the top would lower us at 6 ft/second. There were about 8-9 zip lines thru the trees over waterfalls, rocks, and we were about 30-60 feet up.
Here is the link to the photos with the family while zip lining I posted on the web. They will give everyone a better idea of what it entailed.
Kim,
It is truly beautiful where we live. We have 4 true seasons yearly. We have had an unusual amount of rain this June. We do need some sunshine! Remember to pace yourself, rushing into sets you back, but plodding along gives improvement daily.
Kelly,
Yes, it is fun. However, you need to wait before you tax your body on an adventure course. It is too soon post op, for you now to attempt. Give yourself some time as it will still be there next season when you are 100%. I guarantee you will be nervous, excited, anxious, and determined when you return to skiing this winter. You surely do not want to jeopardize the return by doing too much too soon. JMO
Pace yourself, and enjoy every day knowing you will soon be able to return to enjoying the things you truly love to do.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to look at the photos.
Best,

Uh Crystal, your my hero...Did you look down....Those pic are so pretty. Your family looks pretty amazing..Thanks for sharing really....Life does go on after the tkr...and no words can say it better then that pic...............Your the best. Thanks........

Kim,
I did look down ahead of where I was going. It was pretty fast! It was fun, but exhausting. My body hurt for about 3 days after. I ended up with bruises in abnormal places! I had my mammogram and the technician asked me if I had been in a car accident recently as I had a bruise on my breast....... I told her I was unaware of it, and I had not been in a car accident but did go zip lining! LOL
She knew exactly what I was talking about. I had bruises on my upper thigh, and arms too. One on my right knee next to the incision. Nothing dramatic or traumatic tho'!

Crystal!
You (and your family) are amazing! What beautiful photos--and wonderful memories.
Thanks for sharing them with us.
Blessings,
Irene

Thanks Irene. We did it right here in Plymouth. Hope you are feeling better and making progress with your recovery.

Some people dont understand by putting those pics on here does alot. My son says sometimes like I wonder if you will ever be able to do things (big things) again. Well I showed him that picture and let him read it. HIS FACE LITE UP !!!!! You made one lil boy very very happy..............

LOL!! Good, I am glad it helped! Your post brought a smile to my face. You did tell him I had them both replaced didn't you?

You are our poster girl for sure, Crystal! That looks terrifying!!

Jo,
Really? You made me laugh! It was fun, exciting, mentally & physically challenging. It took me days to get over "feeling it" with my entire body. It is something I am proud of and have no desire to do again! LOL!!
I may try zip lines only next time rather than all the other stuff with it...... Not bad for 59, huh?
Best,
