Sorry for not posting in such a long time but have had many set backs but now we are recovering great. I had a huge problem with scar tissue. In Feb. my rom was only at 94 which was not good. In may the ortho said he may want to open the knee and remove scar tissue. He had tried this using arthro in Dec but did not help.
On June 5 he opened the knee again and removed scar tissue over a inch thick. Today I am through therapy and the rom is at 117. I am a happy camper.
This forum has been great.

Re: One year knee surgery

Glad you were able to rectify the issue. Scar tissue seems to build and there is not much you can do about it other than the route you took. I had BTKR and did not develop scar tissue until 10 months out. Now my knees sound like Velcro ripping apart every time I sit down or stand up.... Does not hurt nor effect my ROM. I guess I am lucky!

Hi, Lem! So thrilled to hear you are back on the path of progress with your knee replacement. ONE INCH of scar tissue....that's a LOT!!! No wonder you were having problems.

I moved your thread to the knee surgery recovery forum. It's a better fit here than in the Tech Forum.

Best of luck to you and continue to let us know how it's going.

Gosh, that's a most unusual situation, lem. Poor you!

But GOOD for you that you're so much better. Praise God!

Lem,
I have hopes of getting rid of these adhesions soon. And then I too will be able to
do things without all this pain!!

Wow Lem, that's huge! Glad you are doing so much better.

Calling, we are waiting to hear what your OS says this week. Keeping you in my prayers.
