Josephine...do you have any way of telling how many people "lurk" here on a daily basis? I bet the number is high. I know lots of people don't feel comfortable posting or simply don't know how to post. And some newbies say that they've been lurking for a long time and never posted. I just wondered if you could tell how many were online and how many were lurking....
Just popped into me wee head....

I'm stuck at work with a migraine....I need for everybody to feel sorry for me today. poor pattipoo....right eye all swollen...head "frobbin"....need lovin'....

carry on.....

I was one of those "lurkers". If you want to know something eventually you ask...That is how I started, now look at me, I am here several times a day. Boy do I miss work...

NN

SAVOR your time at home....work is...well, WORK!

actually, you will love being around people again....kinda gets your mind off of yourself

So sorry you are suffering a migraine today. I saw a programme on the brain the other night, said one of the best things for headaches is....ummm...having nookie!! Better wait 'til you get home though!!

I was also a lurker for a couple of weeks as it looked as if it was an American only site to me, then I plucked up the courage when I could no longer cope without you all. Best decision I've made in a while don't you know? eh?

Sorry to hear about your migraine. I've had them and know your pain. I'll just send up a prayer right here and now that God touches you and the pain subsides, the pressure lessens, your spirit is lifted, your scalp and face muscles relax, your neck and back relax, you start to feel more energy and ever so much "lighter". I pray that all the tension leaves and you return to your normal, quirky but lovable, self. Can I get an AMEN?

Oh, now I see that your headache was in DECEMBER!! Well, I prayed for you anyway! God bless you, dear sister!

Nevermind, now I see that December is your join date. I think the drugs have impacted my brain more than I realized. I don't know what I'm doing or when I'm doing it!! Maybe those sleep meds are impacting me. God help me!! Make me normal! Well, at least get me back to where I was when this all started. Normal might be asking too much.

Amen. As for the cure, well darn, I sure hope I get a headache!!

Skeet...how sweet and funny at the same time! I actually came home with the headache....i've taken all the proper medication and it won't LEAVE me. LOVE the prayer....I keep reading it over and over...
I'm hunkered down in the bed....all snuggly....laptop on my tummy....my luck to fall asleep and drop the darn thing on the floor!!!

Thanks for the well wishes....I'm using you guys as my meds right now.

OK, beside spinals, cathetars, rehab, this is another thing I swore I'd never do, chat room/Forum. Let me tell you, some of the things that attracted me to you all besides the commonality was the humor, you keep it realtively clean, no profanity, and there seems to be a not so underlying faith going on. Many of you have specifically spoke of God and I like that. Seems that is where you put your faith in healing and will for your lives. OK Off soap box. Jen

I agree :) God is good. Gatiger, being from Ga., I know you listen to Charles Stanley preach right? All of the Baptist love him up here in Joisey!

What an accolade! That is so great to hear.

But sadly no, neither you nor or I are able view those statistics which is a shame. Perhaps I'll have a word with the webmaster and see if he can do a bit of knob twiddling!!

Miss Pattipoo and others,

I have been what you call a lurker. I am here to confess and your question to Josephine has made me come out of the lurk box! I've lurked about on this site off and on since before my rtkr surgery last Oct and then more often recently after seeing such active conversation between so many of you.

A little about myself: I am 47 and as mentioned, had my first tkr last Oct. While not perfect, I am very happy with the outcome and missing bone on bone pain. Yea!! I see my doc in about 3 weeks and will probably schedule my second knee at that time. I am somewhat concerned about the next surgery because I've been having problems with my lower back (sacrum-tailbone area) since my surgery in Oct. During my recovery the pain in my back side, to put it nicely, was 10 times worse then the knee pain, believe it or not. The pain is still there but better most of time. I could give more detail about this but I don't want to write a book, especially with my first post!

I also need to have a hip replaced and an ankle either fused or replaced. I'm putting that one off as long as I possibly can. Maybe Josephine can share some knowledge of ankles at some point because what I know is very, very scary! How did I get in this bad of shape at my age? Well, I was hit by a drunk driver 20 years ago and got really smashed up. Everything was repaired and now it's time for a rework and a major one at that!

I look forward to getting involved in some of your conversations. I have a couple of questions for some on this forum, especially for Doug, the cop in Tallahassee. Another night! Karen
