I put together a little spreadsheet from everyone's postings of their surgery dates and other information that I'm now using so I can keep people straight. I'm sure it will get easier as time goes by, but right now I couldn't remember who was where in their recovery process. In the "notes" section, I put little things from posts that also help me remember individual things about each of the people who are posting regularly. I keep this spreadsheet up in background all the time, so I can easily refer to it or add notes. I was going to upload it in case others thought it would be helpful, but the site does not allow Excel spreadsheet files. When I moved it to a Word file, it exceeded the size limits. Help! Is there any way to post an Excel spreadsheet? It would be easier for people to use that way, since they could add information or make changes. Thanks!!!

Did you get the info from the keeping track thread?

How about loading it into a Google spreadsheet? The ppl could access it as they wanted. Or another thing I did with a table was to take a screen shot and load it as an image (spec below) but that, of course, would be uneditable.

I got most of the information from the Keeping Track thread. Jennifer, that was a GREAT idea! Some information I have been adding from conversations. I may be off a little on some of the surgery dates because I guessed based on how many weeks out people may have mentioned they were in their post...but it's close. It's already helping me. I'd be happy to email the spreadsheet to anyone who wants it. My email address is [email protected].

I don't know how to load an Excel spreadsheet into a Google one.....but I'd sure be happy to email it out if someone wants to try it. ....Jamie

Just Google "Google docs and spreadsheets", create an account for yourself or one you can share and you get a spreadsheet like this

You tell everyone the username and password and they can edit it as they see fit. We used it recently on Christian Forums for staff allocations. Worked a treat.

Thanks, Josephine. I'll try that later on today. If I can successfully get it out there on Google, I'll post a new thread with the information for everyone. I appreciate your help. See.....old dogs CAN learn NEW TRICKS!!! ...Jamie

Good morning Jo. Got another question for you please. Is there a point where they won't be able to do a manipulation that would yield good results? I am 12 weeks today.

I had a dream tonight that I was having a manipulation and but woke up to hear my OS using a hammer and chissel, and he was really pushing my knee to where it should be. I shouted and they realised I was awake, then I woke up. I go back to see my OS next Tuesday. I don't know what is best?

I was at 90 ROM and have gone back to 87 again. My swelling has gone down a tiny bit, but there is still a lot of difference between both knees. I am going to try a massage for Lymph Drainage soon. The charts Beachcomber sent out are really good. My hubby has followed them for me for 3 nights now. It is very soothing.

If I do have it manipulated, won't it just get really swollen again and I'll have the same problem getting it bent again? I still can't use the bike properly yet, only back and forth. When I try bending it hard (especially with the physio) there is still excrutiating pain on the right side of my leg from knee to thigh, the lateral collateral ligament and also the quads above my knee feel like a flat metal band trying to stretch. I have a very low tolerance of pain too :(

EEK! What a horrid dream - but just goes to show how much this is on your mind.

To answer your queries, so far as I am aware, it doesn't swell overmuch afterwards. Not like it did before anyway. And any swelling that does occur is short-lived. I think the pains you are experiencing (to me) tell of adhesions that need some intervention.

As for the time period, well, that's a toughie. There's no set parameters in adhesions, you see. If you can imagine the graph of adhesions as being on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being just a little tacky and 10 being almost set like superglue, one person can rush ahead to a 10 whilst another could take months to get to a 6. In other words, no-one could adequately answer that. Only thing I can tell you for sure is that few people get very far on the scale in 3/4 months so you will be fine.

Another Josephine analogy - think of it as like having a tooth out - hurts like stink for about 24hrs and then it's all okay!

Thanks Jo. I will let my OS decide for me then on Tuesday. How are your knees today? When are you getting them checked out again.

Oh yes, Artframer needs some advise on the thread: Hot Knees 18 months later. Thanks
