Quartazone Shots/Eventual Replacement
This is my first time on this forum and I would like to ask a question that hopefully hasn't been beat to death in the past.
I have had two quartazone shots now, the second being about 2 months ago and it's wearing off fast. Has anyone else been through the shot process and how many before you finally opted for replacement? The cartlage (spelling) is not worn to the bone yet but getting close.
I have met with a surgeon and he said that it will need to be replaced soon but it is up to me when, it's a scary decision, I see some encouraging stories on here but it still is scary because there is no going back. I'm not too worried about him as he is rated one of the top 5 in the state and has made documentries for PBS etc.
I have been hearing about the resufacing procedure now and is that any better or is still too new to know? I know they were just granted approval here in the states this past summer.
Sorry about all the questions, I would appreciate any input.
Guess I should also mention that I am 42 years old, that's one of the reasons for it being so scary for me.
