Well - I finally graduated from Physical Therapy this past Wednesday! We measured for one last time and got 130 degrees. We could have gone further but the table has a bar that comes down and it was in the way. So I am really probably right at 135!!! No pain with the pushing - of course he has it to a science and slides the leg in at an angle - but that's ok! So .... for a few weeks I am PT free - I was going to join the gym program this place offers on a monthly basis but with only 11 days until the hip scope I think I may just wait till after the first of the year. Doesn't seem worth it for 7 days of use this month. Plus i have a ton of stuff at school to do before i am done b4 break.

Anyway - for all of you new knees - take it from an old one - don't give up - just have patience - It was the 4th month that really made all the difference for my knee!

Thanks for everyone's support!

Marianne

Congratulations. My spine doc told me I should be in pt the rest of my life, so I am not sure if I will ever graduate!!!

That is fantastic news, Marianne! Very well done!

Fantastic....Now don't do like my mother has done...Once she quit P.T., she didn't keep up some type of workout and her ROM has really suffered.. She's trying to find a gym(so she says) but she doesn't want to leave my father alone at home(early Alzheimer's).

Congrats, Marianne. For those of us that have followed your progress, what great news! I've done 6 weeks of PT and starting another 6 weeks. I'm hoping I might be finished after 12 weeks PT but if not, I'll keep plugging away until I reach perfection. lol

Good luck on the hip scope... Sandy

Way to go, Marianne. Your ROM is fantastic!!! And I remember when you were worried at the beginning. It just proves that time works wonders with this surgery....and, of course....HARD WORK!!! That last thing is very important and it sounds like you are reaping the rewards of all that effort. I'm so happy for you!

Congratulations on the wonderful outcome Marianne! It seems that MUA and a LOT of hard work was definitely worth it! Karen

Congrats Marianne. You are bending more than the maximum ROM of my implants which is 127.

I know you will be on the slopes next year. Good luck on the hip surgery.

I am now in the worried stage of slipping on ice. We go from snow to rain which is the worse. last week is was in the 40's and yesterday it was 0. Had to shovel today and all went well
