Hello @clodaghcov
I‘m wondering if you’ve ever considered a fresh set of eyes to review your case?
Or are you confident you’re working with the best available to you?
Thinking of you and sending up prayers for healing. :prayer:

@Layla My history, xrays and all details have already been seen by the eminent, Prof Jeys would send me anywhere in the world to help me. Nobody wants me well more than the orthopaedic and bone infection team at The Royal Orthopaedic. I am almost beyond help, but I will not give up, hopefully if I can get better with a spacer I shall live happily.
I am determined to get a photo to let you all see I am really good for 73!! Yes its all so sad, but really the sadness is that when I was 32 I was operated on so many times which has left me with these problems. I still listen to anyone with any ideas for me to go forward in life.

Big hugs and lovexxx

I am relieved to hear that you have the wound vac and that you're seeing such esteemed orthopedic and infection specialists. Your attitude is good and that makes a huge difference. You have lots of prayers from your BoneSmart family who care about you. I'll be waiting to hear from you again.

Does multiple increase the chance of infection ? I may need a keyhole surgery to remove some impingement tissue, walking is like grinding.

Every time you open up your body with a procedure there is a possibility of infection. But it's just a "risk" and not a probability. You want to know that your surgeon has a good record with few infections and the same goes for the hospital where the surgery is done.

Well, I believe some are praying against you being beyond help. Where there is breath, there is hope. I do remember that you were content with the spacer as opposed to the gamble you felt at the thought of another revision. I‘m happy to hear of the confidence you have in the team you’re working with and trust they will come up with the best solution for your situation.

I‘m sorry that you’re currently facing repercussions from the multiple surgeries that you experienced decades ago. :console2:

Sending love and wishing you comfort, peace of mind and good health. Stay in touch, we’re here for you, always.

I am so glad you are a member here @clodaghcov
Some might think it strange to have such a strong connection to folks I've never lain eyes on, but it is real.
The strongest and most inspiring people I have met are often not the ones who have had the easiest time in life. They are those who have had to persevere through adversity and create strength and happiness in spite of the dark places.
I would not wish your ongoing plight on any one, least of all someone as kind and positive as you.
We are with you in spirit and in prayers.

I am having an enforced time out have been admitted to our local hospital with a clot in my arm from pic line!----ooh what else! so they will remove the pic here i think then i will be tramsferred to ROH for what is to come so,practice run getting used to relaxing and staying peaceful with headphones on listening to music!!. I told my nurses i thought the pic had moved on monday, they spoke to bone infection team and they were sure ok--but hey ho life gives us challenges. Hugsxxxxx

:hairpulling: So sorry you have more complications! Geez - I think it's time you had a break! You are in our thoughts!

I’m sorry. You are seemingly one of the strongest, bravest people I’ve encountered here. You’ve had your share, and more, of trials and amazingly stay upbeat. Still praying for all to start looking up for you. I hope your weekend is a peaceful one.
Hugs :console2:

:hi:
I do hope that clotting dissipates quickly.
:praying:
I gave up on any pruning due to the oppresive heat.
I wish I could wish this away so you can do what makes you happy.
Big hugs from Georgia, USA

Sorry about the clotting news, but awesome the wound vac remains empty. I hope you’re discharged soon to the comfort of home. Prayers and best wishes always.
@clodaghcov

There’s no place like home. Relax and enjoy!
