Pre Op Appointment?

Xrays, history, what have you done so far for the knees evaluation, Basic surgery questions and discussion, arrangement of any pre-op testing. that was my experience.

I have an ongoing relationship with the OS so we won't do the xrays - he just did some 2 weeks ago, and he has explained the basic surgery. We usually use it for last minute questions, answers, latest and greatest stats and anesthia questions. He has always done my scopes with general so I guess that'll be the same again. I get to ask all the questions I have for him and he answers them. Then I head down to admitting and take care of anything that still needs to be done- and being a woman of child bearing age I go back in 48 hours prior to surgery (open all day on the weekends) and have blood pulled to make sure I am not pregnant. My biggest suggestion is to literaaly write down a list of questions and bring a pen to write all your answers. We usually end with a date for a followup to take out stitches - I haven't had a tkr and my preop isn't till 7/11 but according to his nurse it works similar to the pre-ops I have had with him for the scopes.
