Plastic surgery after THR

Is getting plastic surgery after THR out of the question due to infection?

It seems that if dental work can create problems with infection, then an invasive surgery like "cosmetic" would put you at even more risk.

I've always thought "maybe" I would have some small things done as I get older. But, I don't know if the risk would be worth it?

Oh gosh yes - it will be fine. The problem with dental work is that the mouth is full of bugs all the time and having something like root canal or an extraction can release a load of bugs into the blood system which could focus in the foreign bodies (the implants). However, with more routine surgery, such is not the case although it is common practice for the patient to have prophylactic antibiotics anyway.
