I had the most wonderful experience yesterday that I want to share with you all.

I had been to the airport with a family friend to drop my mum and dad off, for a brief holiday. On the way home we stopped at a shopping centre to have some lunch. All day I walked around, stood etc no problems at all, (4 months PO, TKR) on the way out of the centre we were walking down a very long ramp. There was a man struggling, clutching onto the hand rail being dragged by the trolley. I recognised immediately by the way he was trying to walk and control the trolley full of groceries that he had knee problems, I walked past him, and held the front of the trolley back so it wasn't pulling on him.

When we got to the bottom, he said "I have really bad knees" and told me over and over how grateful he was that I had helped, but it was really me that had the blessing being able to help him.

Chris :)

What a wonderful gesture, Chris! Now your're a poster lady for
Good health & graciousness as well! :)

What a heartwarming story, Aussie!! I hope you had time to tell him that you had experienced a knee replacement so that he could see how beneficial it might be for him also. As you know, sometimes people are so fearful of the surgery that they go on way too long with massive pain.

You are a beautiful person inside and out!!!!

Chris! THe poor fella! You could have hooked
Him up with the Bonesmarties!!! :)

Wow -- what a great story! And great experience to be a physically whole person again - whole enough to help someone else! Thata's real happiness!!!

Chris,
That was a wonderful act to do for another human being, you should sleep well tonight,

God Bless,
Rick

Thanks everyone,

I tried hard not to draw too much attention to me helping him, in case he was a bit shy about it, he was probably only in his early 50's. I did say to him, that I had just had my knee replaced and that is why I was able to help him, so hopefully he gained some insight to the benefits by that.

Shows how strong these knees are though, mine held me and his shopping trolley!

Chris :)
