Hi Everyone - haven't posted for a while. Thought I would give an update on my husband, Mr. if it will go wrong, that's me, and if I can find anything else to hurt on my body, that's me too! The bad news is he had the 2nd epidural injection, and it has not worked either. He goes for the 3rd a week from Tuesday. The good news is the new P/T place he is going to has gotten his ROM up to 110. I like this place, they are very professional and work mostly with sports people (down here in FL we have the Dolphins, the Marlins and the Miami Heat). I just find it kind of hard to believe that when he went there his ROM was only 82 (from the old place), and in 6 visits they got it up to 110. If his yelling is any indication, then they are right on the money. In addition to his 3 days a week P/T, they let him come in on his off days and go on that flexinator for about an hour. He goes to the OS on Wednesday, and if there readings are correct, the doctor should be quite pleased. Are the doctor's measurements and the P/T usually the same?
I cannot stress enough, as I believe Jamie did on this forum, how important it is to find a professional P/T. We wasted 12 visits at the old place (and $300 bucks) for his ROM to be only 82.

Ouch-- so glad you hubby is making great progress with his ROM. You are absolutely correct in saying that the Pt makes a world of difference.

Sorry the epidurals are not working. :sigh:

In all of this...how are you making it?

Ouch, I do so love your posts....they are always so honest and descriptive!!! I can just picture your dear hubbie hollering as he achieves exactly what he has been waiting for!!! Maybe they are just screams of "joy"....ya think?

But it appears you have found an excellent therapist who is getting the job done. I'm betting the surgeon will be as thrilled as you are about the ROM. Now if you can just get something resolved with his back pain. I'm thinking you're going to have to get assertive with the back professionals until they figure out something better than those shots.

You are deserving of sainthood to be going through all this. God bless you!

Good going to your hubby! St. OUch???? Hey, why NOT???? :). Teamwork is EVERYTHING!!! :)

I do think a really good PT person is the key to a good rom and
recovery.

So glady you found one. Tell your hubby he is doing great.

Ouch,
So glad to hear that Pt is going good for Mr. Ouch. He and you were do for some good news. And I would have to say his Rom sounds like really good news

Aw Ouch I am so happy for him. That ROM is amazing . That Dr should be very happy. I'm sure your husband is happy and should be very proud of himself. I'm sure that makes you feel better to......keep us posted and please tell him what a terrific job he is doing. Really those numbers are something else. If the Dr is not happy you tell him he has many many people on here that are proud of him. And props to PT he sounds like her really cares thats great.....I know we have come to know you so much we need a first name Mr ans Mrs Ouch???????.lol.:)
