THR Other side - January 2021

Hello again, hope you are all well.
I have surgery booked for the 18th January for my right hip replacement.
I feel way to young to be having the other hip done......but I’m sure I will feel so much younger once fully recovered and pain free. Ha ha.
I had 2 stage revision last year on my left hip due to infection, with surgery in February and then again in August. Everything is going really well now as I keep slowly building strength.
Hopefully this will be the last time in hospital.

My new double hippy adventure began at 53 1/2 yrs old and now I feel like I have rolled back time by 20 years.

I remember your bumpy journey with number one resulting in your revision, but I'm glad to hear you are seeing improvements.
Lots you've had to rebound from so I wish for you a sweet holiday, continued progress, sustained health, and no delays so 2021 can bring you back to a happy hip pain free life

Roll on 2021 @Mojo333 xxx I’m so glad you feel amazing now , that’s inspiring.

I spoke with my surgeon yesterday and he has decided that we don’t go ahead with the other THR.

He said it’s best to wait until I have been infection free for one year. It makes total sense. Better to be safe than sorry.
