Hello Jo

My Doctor stated the problem is in the SI joint. His diagnosis is other mechanical complication of prosthetic joint implant, unspecified site of sacroiliac region strain. He ordered 12 visits of physical therapy and Flector patch I will be going to a PT that he recommend, if I have a problem he said call him. He commented SI joint stabilization, trial of TEN’s/interferential. He continued by saying this was going on before you had surgery but made worst by the surgery. He told me to think good thoughts because he has dealth with this issue several times. Well since I felt more like Shirley last week with the injection which is inflamed. I am going to move on... man it took a heck of a long time for anyone to find out what the problem is I am satisfied. More than anything not to have to have another surgery!!!! Thanks be to God!

Happy Thursday

Well, pretty much what I said then. Have you thought of seeing a chiropractor? I swear by mine. He cured my 'nurses back' that I'd had for years and that was mostly SI problems.

MsSplenda I am so glad your hip is fine. Good Luck working on your problem though. Many people swear by their chiropractor. I"d give it a try with the pt if I were you (and could afford it)

Glad you dont need surgery Listen to Jo I did and i was so satisfied.............) Good luck to you...........)

Absolutely chiropractic! I had the SI joint problem before the hip was operated and the chiro kept adjusting it and the hip to keep it aligned. My hip feels good now (7 weeks) but I feel the SI joint coming back. He's been doing light adjustments on my lower back which helps and eventually, when all is healed, will go back to SI adjustments to get it back in place.

Wow! That's amazing! I have been seeing a chiropractor since I had surgery. She uses a hand held device. What does your Chiropractor use for adjustment? I go on a bi-weekly basis. I am a legal secretary and sit quite a bit could this add to the issue?

My chiro uses a table that is in sections. You lay on your face and he elevates sections with a foot pedal and then presses down on that bit of your back with a bit of a thump and the section goes down with thwack but it doesn't hurt! It's just noisy! However, he then does use acu-pressure to make those angry little spots give in a relax. Ever heard of good excruciating pain? He can do it! He's an artist! You walk out feeling like you've had an argument with a truck but after about 5 minutes, you feel great!

Is the hand held device like a "gun"? Mine uses that as well which is really good. Of course, if we had good, healed hips you can lay on your side and they can "pop" it and like Jo said,,,it's great pain and release. When it's all healed you can get better adjustments.

Oh yes, mine uses the PainGone gun on occasions. You can get a smaller version for yourself but not near major nerves or devices like pacemakers
