Well, I'm trying to heal from the foot surgery. It's not going real well.
Then Saturday night I was carrying a quilt to the washing machine. It is a very large quilt. I stepped on the quilt, and it tripped me. I went straight down.
The brunt of the fall was on my bad knee. I must have hit the floor a little bit with my head too because my glasses flew off and were all twisted. I just laid there for a minute wondering what in the heck happened, and then I got up. My foot that I had just had surgery on is fine. But my knee hurts.
Good grief.

So sorry Beth,
It seems like when it rains it pours. I hope that you will be ok. Did you ice your knee?

You'll be fine. It's a shock when you do something like that but you soon get over it. Last time I took a fall I tripped in a neighbour's garden and fell on my right shoulder. For days I was convinced I'd dislocated my shoulder! But the shock wave that went though my body was by far the worst. Hope you feel better soon. Treat yourself to something nice!

Oh, Beth....so sorry to hear about your fall. Please be careful. You'll be okay, though. I remember my first fall after surgery....I guess we all have something like that happen eventually. It will get better, though! Pamper the parts that hurt (even your pride) and just know you have lots of company who understand what something like does to you.

Yeah, I'm doing a little better already. Wrenched my back and my knee is still trying to decide whether it wants to get better or worse. It's actually better than I thought it would be, but I'm back to when I stand up I have to wait about 30 seconds before I can actually walk.

Thanks for the concern,

Beth

Hang in there, Beth.....it will get better each day.

Now I just have to wait on the results of my second MRI to see why I have excrutiating pain in my neck and head every day. I had one MRI already, but the neurosurgeon said it wasn't very good (no contrast) so I had another one yesterday. I still think it has something to do with my car accident in February of this year.

Knee is doing better today, so is my foot!

Beth-
Happy to hear that your knee and foot are feeling better--hope the rest of you will soon follow suit--You deserve a "feeling better all over day"!
Blessings,
Irene

Isn't falling just one of the worst things? You feel so helpless and out of control. You know you're going down and there isn't a darned thing you can do about it except brace yourself!!
