It's been a month since my surgery and I'm doing really well.

-I'm finally done with the Lovenox injections!
-I did some driving this week.
-I only have a slight limp when I walk, unless I get really tired.
-Last night I went shopping without a cane or crutch. I used the cart for support, but it was way less painful than before my surgery.
-I'm only taking Tylenol or Advil occasionally for pain.
-I finally went to PT on Thursday and got more exercises to do at home.
- After not being able to do any aerobic exercise before my surgery, it's nice to be able to walk and use the exercise bike.
-I'm working on walking up and down the stairs like a normal person.

I am so thankful for my new hip!

Wow Diane you seem to be doing fantastic. I am so happy for you.....Really I love those stories.....The stairs are such an accomplishment. You did it !!!!!! Congradulations, I know you will be just fine.........Thanks for posting...

Diane, fantastic report!! Keep up the good work. We love these success stories.

Diane, You are doing great for one month post-op! It's a memorable day when you can go out without the cane and enjoy the walking. The bicycle is wonderful PT -- aerobic but low impact. Good for you!

Wow! Thats GREAT! :thmb: Another 'Wooo Hooo!' and way to go, Diane!
It's great to hit those milestones in the recovery/rehab journey! Like I posted on another thread...'Take it easy', and get plenty of rest and recovery time in between exercise/PT workouts. Great to hear you came thru fine; and keep us up to date! Ahhh....Another Vet...!
