OMG! It's TOMORROW

How did that happen? :shk: How did it get here so fast? I'm not sure I'm ready! I'm trying to remember what to pack to take to the hospital. I have to BE THERE at 5:30 - in the morning!!! Who gets up at that hour (well, I did when I was teaching, but I'm off this year - guess all the sleeping late has ruined me!) I'm ready for it to be over, but I don't actually want to do it!!!! Breathe ... think about the good stuff to come - we can actually go hiking again in the spring. Just gotta remember to breathe ....

BEACHBUM!!!! I am sooooo excited for you! I know that you will have a super smooth OR/post op experience. You just HAVE too! Otherwise, you know that I'll be cancelling my surgery for Friday, LOL.
Seriously, you will be in my thoughts tomorrow. Please remember to breathe, try to relax, and make sure that you check in as soon as possible to let us know how you are doing.

Beachbum, relax once you get up at that awful hour and get there everyone takes over. You will be ok. Just keep asking for pain meds!!!!!

The hospital just called me, there has been a change in their schedule, so I don't have to be there until 9. So... no crack of dawn for me tomorrow! But, that's just more time to NOT have something to drink or eat (I know someone who will be sneaking off to eat, there's NO way he'll go without his breakfast!)

Good for you. That is a perfect time for me. can't you sleep a little later then?? With my surgery postponed a few weeks ago I had heart palpitations when you said the hospital just called. i don't want anyone to go through this nightmare

I am planning on sleeping as long as possible - IF I can sleep! We are about an hour from the hospital - so 5:30 was really going to be a pain - guess someone is looking out for me!
I've read your story, I'm praying you get a resolution soon.

I know you aren't excited right now...probably nervous. So I will be excited for you:wahey::wahey::wahey:. The surgery will be a piece of cake. You'll be in my prayers as well. I laughed when you said you used to get up at 5;30 when you were teaching. I am a retired teacher who also had to get up at that ungodly hour. One the best things about retirement is sleeping until I wake up. Since there are nights I don't get to sleep until after 5;00, I am sure grateful not to have to get up so early any more.

I am so glad for you. Starting tomorrow, all your time will count toward getting better instead of just waiting.
