Has anyone tried ointments or creams for muscle pain? For example: Aspercreme, Ben-Gay, etc.

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with that, and if so, what seemed to work the best.

I have used both and they both work to some degree. You need to apply a little and rub it in. Then you apply a little more and rub it
in. Then you do a 3rd application. A physical therapist told me to do it this way and it works so much better. I use to just put on a lot in 1 application but this way works really better. Think it has something to do with all the massaging also with the 3 applications.

I tried something mentioned here Freeze something but it did not work for me.

How is your knee doing? Bet you got a lot of rain. We did.

Yes, the massage is what does the trick mostly. You could use any hand cream or even oil just to lubricate the spot to enable you to move over it. You can't beat massage. You don't really have to spend money on fancy creams though some do have a benefit.

I used Bio -freeze but I was mths out so be careful...actually my PT gave it to me............Hope you feel better and it goes away soon.!!!!!!!

Yeah.....I was just thinking about how it's my muscles that hurt and that something like that might help. I'll have Mom find something tomorrow.

In the meantime, I'll just use some lotion and massage it. I guess at least it won't hurt anything, and might help!

Loggon: 8-1/2 inches of rain in two days!!

I use Myoflex extra strength. It seems to help when I've done more than normal. I will try it with the 3 separate applications and lots of massage in between the layers.

Sounds like you can also enjoy a whirlpool bath/sauna.....just make sure your incision os healed! And hydrotherapy is the BEST!!! (:)0)
