Since I woke up from surgery for my RTKR on the 18th of Dec my right hand has been numb, while it has improved It does not seem to be going away.

Has anyone else had an experience like this? I've talked to my OS about this he really did not have a good answer for me, could I have some kind of nerve damage?

Mike,
When I woke up my right hand was tingling. I think they hit a nerve or something with the repeated efforts to run the I.V.
I guess I just ignored it while concentrating so much on the knee. Can't tell you when it went away. It just did.

In which arm did you have your IV, Mike? And can you remember on which arm they put the blood pressure cuff before they anaesthetised you?

My bum was numb after the operation and still is although it is getting better. I put it down to when they put the epidural in I had a big uncontrollable jolt. I think the anesthesiologist hit a nerve but I don’t really know

That happened to my husband when he had a cardiac cath to check for blockages. They hit a nerve in his leg. He couldn;t walk at first after. Kinda scary. It got better but he still gets numb butt, especially if he sits too long.

My IV was in my left i'ts my right hand that i'm having trouble with, I don't remember for sure about the cuff but I think it was on my right.

Would have been in the opposite side to your IV so it could well be a side effect from the auto-inflating cuff. Some people are senstive to that.
