Hi! Today is day 9 and I still have numbness in my left groin. Oddly, the numbness is in my left side although I had a right replacement. The nurse said to keep an eye on in for now. Did anyone else experience this ?

That is odd. Did the nurse give you any idea about what might have caused it? I wonder if it might be related to the spinal you received (I'm assuming you got that instead of a general, right?). How long are you supposed to "watch"???

Oh I love it when nurses say things like that that clearly state they know nothing! The numbness in your groin is caused by damage or bruising to the minor nerves that run across the front of the hip joint. It will recover, don't worry.

Thank heavens for our Jo, right???

She back...wahoo...only part time now Jo, remember all that ice and elevate and all that stuff you knee people go on with!...good to have you back on board
