thanks everyone, i love to hear from others like me i dont meet many so this is fantastic. about my deliveries. the chiari was my last surgery and it turned out beautifuly. my sil at the time had the " child birthing hips" and then theri were mine... well she ended up having all 4 of hers by c section and i had all normal deliveries. never even pushed long. this last one i've lost so much range of motion. the right is locked and fixed forward motion only, so i chose to get the epidural before hand so if either did dislocate i wouldnt feel it so bad. i was more sore this time for about 2 days but, but after that it was fine. the relaxin really caused trouble because my joints became unstable and i was in a w/c for 4 months before she was born, up walking and back to work 6 weeks later though. finally i could take something for the pain...

oh, by the way you can have 90 degrees external rotation but if you dont have the right shape pelivs it wont matter and you can have no external rotation and if the pelvis is wide enough( me) its no problem

Dakota--my 1 month post op is next friday, so I'll post after that to update. For now, it' just a slow but mostly positive experience, with steady improvement and occasional minor setbacks when I overdo it.
