Hi folks, I was just wondering if anyone could help me with these symptoms. I have had a Left THR but now my right is in pain. The pain seems to radiate out to the groin but mostly it feels like it is right on the area where I sit on the right side.. sitting on ice helps, and the pain is constant.. sometimes more than others. Laying down and ice is the only things that relieve it and the pain is constant.. around a level 5 or six.. enough to be a constant aggravation and change my activities. I was well on my way in PT with the previous surgery to my lumbar/SI joints but am wondering if the flexing and movement in PT aggravated something.
I will say that I was experiencing this pain off and on prior to the PLIF and SI joint surgery and thought the procedures would alleviate it .. it alleviated my back pain but this has gotten worse. I saw a neurosurgeon today and they are sending me for xrays. Any ideas what could be causing this pain. Does anyone know if this is the beginning of hip joint problem.. I am not having difficulty walking, but am to the point I am avoiding further activity and especially stairs
I am feeling frustrated as I am still recovering from the previous surgery.. maybe it aggravated a condition that was undiagnosed.. the doctor today said it is "never just one issue"
