Hi again-
5 weeks post op-bilateral uni's. Thought I was doing really well , inspite of a clot , now dissolved, and then today. . .
I woke up with this funny feeling, like something was out of place on my left lateral knee,(not the operative site) and found I couldn't walk on it due to sharp pain- sat down at desk, and felt a "pop" and it then felt fine- went shopping, and it happened again, could hardly walk - when I sit down and flex it a bit, it gets some better- went to doctor, told me a bit of scar tissue had dislodged and was moving around- EVER HEARD OF THIS???
he told me it would probably be better in 24 hours-
feedback?

Yes, I've heard of it. At about 6-7 weeks while I was on a stationary bike, mine popped and about threw me off of the bike. It hurt like crazy. It was a Saturday so all I could do was ice it and take some pills..By Sunday evening, it was fine.
Haven't had a problem since then...Best of luck with it. I know after going through these surgeries, every pop, bump, and twist makes you hold your breath to see if it is o.k.

I had a simliar event at around 6-8 weeks. It hurt for about 24 hours or so, then was fine. Ice was the answer. well, ice and rest.

Is this a common thing at about this time. i just passed 6 weeks on Tuesday. should I watch for it?

Mine happened when I accidentally did a real hard compression of the joint..
I don't think you can watch for it....It will let you know.

Hey Doug, I'm dropping my daughter off at the airport at 6:00 AM tomorrow to travel down to Tallahassee. Her boyfriend graduates from law school on Saturday and her old roommmate gets married the following Saturday. How's the traffic down there when all the parents arrive? I bet that's miserable for the locals.

In the immediate area of the university it can get crowded. Also Governors square mall and the restaurants out on U.S 27 south(Apalachee Pkwy) gets crowded. It's all tolerable though. Not like a home game when we had to squeeze 85,000 in the stadium.
