I am wondering if anyone had nerve issues prior to their TKR and what their experience was with nerve pain after surgery? Specifically, I have nerve issues now where it often feels as if I am standing on a phone on vibrate, my whole leg will uncomfortabley "hum". Gabepentin did nothing for this. I have read through some experiences where members here report this kind of pain after surgery and I am worried if this could affect my current nerve issues in a negative manner. Anyway, I am scheduled for a TKR on this affected leg a week from Wednesday, June 19th, and am finding much to worry about these days

Hi Cathy and welcome to BoneSmart!

No, I can't say I've ever heard of anyone experiencing that. Have you discussed it with your surgeon or your GP?

I did talk to him about it, he said that he thought it was due to the leg being out of alignment.

 That just doesn't make sense!

Which 'he' were you referring to? Surgeon or GP?
