Actually there are some very good comments on here. It's just that when one is looking for negativity, one's eye seems to focus on that. I don't mean this as a personal criticism, just a statement of fact. Have you ever noticed that when you get a red car or a car of a certain make/model suddenly you see heaps of them on the road? I know I have done that. I would read through the threads again. One lady has said how she is absolutely delighted with her new knees!
Also, a forum like this does have a tendency to draw to it people who are having problems and are seeking solutions and/or answers. We have hopes that over a period of time, this will change and people with good experiences will come to offer support and encouragement.
As for your husband, you haven't said how old he is or what his job is. That makes a difference in what opinion can be offered. Also, is he having a traditional approach or minimally invasive surgery (MIS)?
However ...
The rotating platform isn't actually going to influence the recovery process per se but I would have thought that what ever approach he is having a three week return to work would be a somewhat optimistic goal to put it mildly!
Generally, the recovery for MIS surgery seems to be about 6-8 weeks, for the traditional approach 3-4 months. But you have to remember that every individual is different and has different a progress.
