Need Serious Help Posting a Photo

I'm in real trouble here. I tried to follow the instructions about posting a photo and no dice. When I typed in tinypics.com all I got was a search screen that didn't do anything. I have a photo saved in My Pictures, but even if I copy it to the clipboard, I'm not able to insert it using the icon on the BoneSmart post screen. Please help or I'll be forever faceless on this board!!! ....Jamie

Click "Browse"....it will automatically open your picture file.

Resize it to fit a message board

Click UPLOAD

copy the URL for message boards

come to Bonesmart....click on the "insert photo" icon....erase the http// that's there and PASTE your url from tinypic

that's it

When you go to tinypic.com, the first thing is to resize the picture to Message Board size. Then click on the browse button and browse to "my pictures" and the picture you want and double click on the file. It will insert the path to the picture in the space by the Browse button. NExt click on UPLOAD NOW. Wait for the upload and click on the option that has IMG in front of it. IMG Codes for Forums and Message Boards. Then paste that same IMG link into the posting box and click on post reply. That should work.

Skeet, let me first try what Patti suggested. My problem is when I got to the tinypic site, there are no choices like resize....it's just a search screen that takes me to dumb stuff like ring tones and dating websites.

Ahhhhh....here is PART of the problem!!! I typed tinypics not tinypic. When I got it correct, I got a whole different screen. I think this old blonde is making progress!!! Man, some days I really need assistance!!

My version makes me size the picture before I upload it. So look to see if that is what yours does, too.

Okay....some progress. But when I copied the IMG information and then pasted it in my post, all that showed up was a link to tinypic.com....not my real photo. Help....it must be something really simple! I'm so close, yet so far away that I am considering that shotgun!!!

I posted it on the correct thread too. Wanted to do my testing on this one. Unfortunately....that photo was 12 years ago and a bunch of pounds lighter. I'm certainly hoping that better mobility will make a difference in the weight thing. I'm working on a more current photo and will do that as soon as tinypic lets me upload it....the site was timing out on me. Thanks for the help!!!!!
