Yes, it is good to check back in to where we all found each other and the encouragement we all needed. Sure is no fun being part of the lucky 1% that doesn't recover on the normal curves. It truly is wonderful to be able to meet up with others who have been in the same boat. We don't always have the answers, but I do think we have more compassion than some of the surgeons you and some others have encountered. None of the surgeons like to be reminded of something that could be labelled their failure. One of the ways they can deal with it is to minimize their contacts. I suspect Josephine wouldn't like to hear that comment, but I don't think everyone in the profession comes with a heart of compassion that our tough cases need.
I was just in to see my surgeon for my two year post op visit. I'm not as limited as you, but I was hanging out at 90 ROM a lot longer than I wanted to be, so I can empathize on some level. Unfortunately, I do have good ROM now, but I still can't navigate the stairs. This visit showed an abnormality on my patella which looks like a Christmas ornament with two pointed tips - one up and one down. For now, I just live with it - go one step at a time. I discussed this with my PA to my surgeon who explained being lawsuit skiddish, keeps them from being as helpful with information as they might be.
I'll chime in with the others and say find another revisionist. Hope you've found some other support systems in town, too. Take care, keep us posted.
