Thank you for giving me an opportunity to ask questions to those that know.
I have breast cancer that has matastasized to the bones. I had radiation in January 07 and cracked my left hip in March. Dr.s discussed what to do first. They decided to start chemo. (I had one treatment) and then Drs. decided to stop chemo and do replacement. I had the replacement of special hip with bolts etc. done in mid July. They waited a month for me to heal and now I am taking chemo once every three weeks.
I feel weak most of the time and don't know if it is from the surgery or a combination. I know I should be exercising but just don't seem to have the energy. I am walking with a limp, in the house and using a cane when I go out.
I must say that I have never been an exercise type person but with the weakness, I feel I can't do anything.
I have lower back pain constantly. It hurts when I walk, sit without my legs up, or lie down. Sleeping is the pits.
A laughable aside. My first chemo treatment was just enough to loose all my hair. It was growing back in when the 2nd chemo series began. The doctors tell me I will loose my hair again. Maybe I will have some hair for Xmas.
P.S. Any suggestions for non-exercise exercises.???????
