Hoping someone has an idea of what to do to help or if there is any concerns. I had a partial knee replacement 4 weeks ago. After hoping off the exercise bike at home today I had this really bad muscle cramp behind my leg and above the knee that had been replaced. It stretches from the back of my knee and up maybe 10 inches or so. Have I just overworked it in PT this week maybe? Any thoughts on how to prevent and or help would be much appreciated as 8 hours later and I still feel it.

Thank you very much

Darrell

Those hamstring cramps can hurt like crazy. Make sure and drink plenty of liquids. Try eating a banana to increase your potassium.
And like mom said. Take your vitamins!

Try gentle stretching---if you can---as Doug said, bananas, potatos, something like Gatorade too. I am also wondering if your seat is too low. In cycling, the saddle should be adjusted to the point where the leg is ALMOST STRAIGHT at the bottom of the pedal cycle, If the seat post is too short, your hammies may cramp up, too.

Thank each of you very much. And yes it does hurt like crazy but will pick up the banana's and gatoraide this afternoon. I know part of my problem is that I do not drink enough liquids but will try and drink more.
