Just passed my 3 month mark. My knee is stable and strong, it can walk long distances without pain. My other knee is really acting up and cannot walk long distances without pain or giving out. I see another surgery in my future.
The only time the new knee aches is when I get up from sitting to standing without using hands, or stepping up on a stair. Hopefully this will resolve before long.
I'm a bit bummed because there are two men we know who had the same procedure with this same OS, Dr. Coon, and they both said they were "fully recovered" in two months. They were able to climb stair with no pain and even ladders. I don't know why I'm taking a bit longer, they were slightly older than me. Perhaps men have more muscle mass in general that helps them?
