So, As I am new to the Forum, to all...Thank You.
Your experiences have been invaluable.
Although this topic may have been covered in prior posts, I couldn't find any.
so here goes...
11 weeks (Today) Out from bilateral TKR. Recovery has been "normal"
time line, ROM 125/127, with little "Drama" to speak of, still minor discomfort.
My Profession, Airline Pilot, brings some unique observations/questions.
With any luck, I should get "released for unrestricted duty" by my Doc
in next week or two, with FAA Medical/Company Clearance to follow.
Then back to the International Grind...12-14 hours in "The Tube" each way.
Long Haul flights have different idiosyncrasies that normal folks dont
encounter, So...
If anyone who has "been there/done that", & would care to share their biggest
concern they had upon return to duty? I would appreciate your insights.
eg. Swelling w/ cabin altitude change, Compression (TEDS) socks.
Any "Unique" situations you encountered that would give me an advanced
"heads up" would be appreciated.
If you would rather P/M...I would appreciate it.
Cheers,
Mike
