Well, that cuts down on the expense of night meds!

LOL, Jo! Judging by how hospitals "up" the cost of everything they administer...I would hate to see the cost of that little bottle of wine on the bill!

Jaz...that would be the result of alcohol with pain meds....that still sounds rather crazy to me!

My uncle has had two ankle replacements at this hospital, always orders a bottle of wine to drink with his dinner and has seen his bill and apparently they charge fairly standard bar prices. He doesn't pay for anything, including his bottles of wine, because it is covered by Accident Compensation Corporation, a sort of health system for medical attention required as a result of an accident. As my surgery and after care was under the public health system and outsourced to this hospital I never saw the bill.

Jaz....I was actually just making a joke about the cost. Still, it's pretty amazing to me that a hospital would provide wine! It is always so interesting to me to see how different countries handle their health care options!!

Gee! Next they'll be having the hospital's wine of the day!! What an experience! :rotfl:

"Hospital wine of the day" sounds an excellent concept to me!
