I will be walking the "Green Mile", Monday Morning on 08/05/19, @8:00 a.m.. Please wish me luck!
Yip. And then you will be on your way to a less restricted life!
Its a weird thing that last painful walk. You will find it very professional and quite busy as the team prepare you.
Its normal to feel anxiety even though you are prepared and need the surgery. Focus on outcome and positives. Best wishes for a great rehab.
@rosieNZ, thank you for your positive words that give me great hope!
Good luck, Bruce! I was just looking at your posts an hour ago, hoping to see something like this thread. So glad that everything is a "go", as they say, and that your surgery is going to happen as scheduled on Monday morning. I am so happy for you.
As you know, I am not far behind! A week from Tuesday is my surgery date. I am a little scared but I am not having any second thoughts, because my knee just keeps getting worse and worse. I am dreaming of a future some day with reliable knees and less pain.
Right now as I type this, I am using my ice machine. Ice feels really good on my knee, especially on this hot day.
@Carole4815, thank you. I know that you are right behind me with your surgery date, you will be fine, and sail right through. On August the 13th, you will wake up and smile and say "that wasn't so bad"!
Thank you jockette!
Good luck! See you on the other side.
Thank you @InkedMarie & luvcats, looking forward to it!
I had both mine done a few months ago.
The hospital / surgery is a piece of cake. All you have to do is show up, LOL!
The first week is no picnic but very do-able. Take your meds, ice and elevate and allow yourself time to heal.
Work on your "NO's" and be prepared to say that to ay PT person that wants your to do something that hurts too much or caused you issues before. And def don't let someone touch your leg until you have developed trust and know exactly what they are going to do.
You got this my friend!
Hope you're doing well, I'm scheduled for my first on the 22nd!
