@bland9 I use wide leg trousers, I usually get them in the leisure wear/nightwear area- I buy mine online and usually get ones that are a soft knit fabric or fleece so it doesn’t rub on my scar. I have several pairs, black, cream and for when I am feeling in the mood for a bit of frivolity tie-dye!
For yourself, there are mens tracksuit bottoms with a wider leg that are available in navy, black or grey in most retail outlets and online. I would also look into their mens leisure wear/nightwear section for soft cotton knit loose leg trousers, sometimes you can get them in a 2 pack. The navy and the black varieties look the most like regular trousers when worn.
If you think the legs of the tracksuit bottoms are still too tight for your leg then I would suggest looking at the ladies dept for wide leg pull on trousers- I am only suggesting this as an option to consider for your comfort. I know M&S currently have a variety of wide leg pull on trousers in a range of sizes, lengths, fabrics and prices- if you are buying online you can try them on in the comfort of your own home and you can consult the size charts online to ensure a good fit.
You can get mens yoga pants online in the UK on the Amazon site- there are plenty of other sites as well. I normally buy mine one size bigger and I can take the waistband in if necessary- I only do that so I get as wide a leg as possible.
