My wife has Arthritis in both of her knee’s and requires replacement of both, but she is allergic to nickel and titanium. Although there are composite alternatives such as ceramics, it’s the components they use to attach the new joint to the bone that causes the allergic reaction. Are there any other alternatives for knee replacement?

The usual metals are cobalt chrome, stainless steel and titanium but as seen in this article, all of these are on your wife's 'not good' list. Unless we have a member who is also a metallurgist, I'm afraid there isn't a lot I can help you with.
