Knee Putty???

I was just talking to a guy who needs both knees replaced. He was telling me about something from Germany which is like putty that they have been using for many years instead of the standard replacements. He said it's not approved here and insurance won't pay for it. It's about $15,000 a knee. He'd talked to a woman who had it done and has no pain. I've never heard of such a thing. Is this for real?

That's a great development for crushed bones (known as comminuted fractures) and I can remember many, many road accident victims whose results would have been so much better with such a product.

But used instead of a joint replacement? I think not!
